Multilateral Cooperation Directorate is responsible for the performance of the tasks in the following areas in coordination with the General Staff Headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade:

• Multilateral defence cooperation and collaboration activities comprising NATO and its agencies (NATO CNAD, RTO, NIAG, NATO agencies)
• Multilateral cooperation within the EU, European Defence Agency (EDA) and Organization for Joint Armaments Cooperation (OCCAR)
• Other multilateral defence industrial collaboration activities
• International Export Controls and Non-Proliferation Regimes

In addition to above responsibilities, Multilateral Cooperation Branch acquires necessary expertise and provides required support during the negotiation process towards the membership to the EU in the Chapters where the Undersecratariat relates to.
