In the scope of the MRAWS Program, Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of National Defence, Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) has issued on January 30th, 2007 a Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to directly procure 80 (eighty) Medium Range Anti-Tank Weapon Systems (MRAWSs) including weapon units, 10 (ten) all-up round missiles per each weapon unit (total 800 missiles), tripods, related containers and accessories.

The electronic copy of the RFP for direct procurement of MRAWSs can be received by the authorized personnel of the foreign medium range anti-tank system manufacturers or by their authorized representative in Türkiye.

First, the authorized personnel of the foreign manufacturer who will apply to SSM to get the RFP, shall submit to SSM his/her original authorization letter which is notary attested and the anti-tank system catalogue of the manufacturer. The Representation Contract, and bio-data of authorized representative(s) which are notary attested shall be submitted to SSM, in case the authorized representative(s) apply(ies) to SSM to get the RFP. The authorization letter and/or the Representation Contract which are submitted to SSM together with the anti-tank system catalogue of the manufacturer will be evaluated by SSM within two working days and the manufacturer will be informed by SSM of the evaluation result.

After SSM's approval, the price of the RFP shall be paid to the bank and the bank receipt shall be submitted to SSM by the authorized personnel to get the electronic copy of the RFP. In order to submit a proposal to SSM, it is essential to receive the RFP from SSM.

The RFP sale price is USD 10.000. This amount shall be paid to USD account number 952 701 001 of Defence Industry Support Fund in the T.C. Merkez Bankası, Ankara Şubesi. The original bank receipt shall include the statement of “Orta Menzilli Tanksavar Silah Sistemi İhalesi Teklife Çağrı Dosyası Bedeli”.

The RFP can be obtained from SSM till April 30th, 2007, 17:00 hours, local time.

The final proposal submittal date is extended to June 29th, 2007.

The firms/organizations that obtained the RFP as of April 17th, 2007, in alphabetical order, are:

• Rafael Armament Development Authority Ltd. (Israel)
• Raytheon International Inc. (USA)
• Rosoboronexport (Russian Federation)
