Department Task and Responsibilities

The main function of the Land Systems Department, having two sections called Vehicle and Tank, is to meet the land based defense systems’ requirements of Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and to develop and maintain local defense industry for national defense and security.

Some examples of projects under the responsibility of our department are The Main Battle Tank Program aimed to be developed by using national resources and have all intellectual properties and Mobile Floating Assault Bridge going to be designed, developed and manufactured by Turkish engineers and industry. Besides these, armoured and tacticalvehicles procurement and modernization programmes of Turkish Land Forces Command are under responsibility of our department.

Within the project management processe the main goal of Land Systems Department is to meet TAF requirements with the utmost local content and industrialization in accordance with our strategical targets.
