Objective : To provide surveillance, command and control  capabilities to TuAF.

Scope :  The project consists of the procurement of 4 airbone early warning and control aircrafts and ground support system in order to meet the requirements of the Turkish Air Force.

Project Model :  Coproduction

Prime Contractor :  Boeing (USA)

Sub Contractors: TAI, HAVELSAN, ASELSAN, MİKES, HAVELSAN TEKNOLOJİ RADAR, KALE KALIP, THY ve SELEX.

Contract Date:  4 June 2002

Status:   Peace Eagle Contract, in order to procure 4 Aircraft and 1 Ground Support System,  was  signed between SSM and Boeing Company (USA) on June 4, 2002. Contract became effective and project design and production efforts have started on June 23, 2003.
Turkish defense industry will gain nearly 12% net local content of the Contract price by their workshare. Total off-set value is 576 Million US Dollar calculated under the project base price. 
The Turkish companies TAI, HAVELSAN, ASELSAN, MİKES, HAVELSAN TEKNOLOJİ RADAR, KALE KALIP, THY and SELENIA have various roles and reponsibilities in the Project.
The first aircraft modification (transforming the 737 commercial aircarft to the Peace Eagle configuration) has been started in March 2005 in USA the second aircraft modification has been started in March 2006, the third aircraft modification has been started in November 2006 and the fourth aircraft modification has been started in March 2007  in Turkey at the TAI facilities.
Due to delay in development by Boeing, program schedule and technical and administrative effects of delay are under evaluation.
