Objective : Procurement of fire fighting kits for C-130B/E aircraft.

Scope : Procurement of six fire fighting kits.

Status : One kit was directly procured from the US for tests carried out by the Environment and Foresttry Ministry. Following the tests and approval of the kit by Ministry of Forestry, 2nd Air Supply and Maintenance Centre (ASMC) Command undertaken the resposibility of production of the remaining five kits through local resources.Production of these kits were completed in ’01. Flight and ground tests of the kits have succesfully been performed and the systems are now operational.
