Department Task and Responsibilities

The aim of the Communication, Electronic and Information Systems (CEIS) Department is to meet communication, electronic, command control, information, simulation and intelligent systems requirements of Turkish Armed Forces using the capability of local industry and to organize the local industry by means of projects in the areas such as satellite, radar, intelligence, command control and communication, sensors, software and simulation. In general, CEIS maintains the projects under three groups namely Satellite Radar and Intelligence, Command Control and Communication, Application Software and Simulations.

Electro-Optical (EO) Reconnaissance and Surveillance Satellite System as an asset for the Turkish Armed Forces and variety of civilian organizations in the framework of homeland security, simulation projects as an inevitable training method for TAF, command, control, communication and intelligence surveillance reconnaissance systems as the essence of all platforms are the examples of the programs managed by CEIS Department. In addition to these projects Network Centric Warfare and Homeland Security issues are the two focus areas of CEIS Department.
