Department Task and Responsibilities

• To make the feasibility studies, develop the project models, prepare and issue the Request For Proposals, evaluate the proposals, carry out the contract negotiations and manage the project management activities in order to meet the naval ship, boat and submarine requirements related with the defence and security of the nation.
• To carry out the activities aimed to develop the shipbuilding industry and sub-industries to a level at which the shipbuilding industry is capable of meeting the defence requirements through constructing the high technology warships, submarines and boats which have the export-potential, with the local design capabilities.
